We have a number of volunteer opportunities coming up over the next few months and we are reaching out to the community for support!

Opportunity #1: Work Shifts at Mrs. Lucci’s

We have secured a two-week block of shifts at Mrs. Lucci’s as a fundraiser for St. John’s Heritage Church & Arts Centre. This is a great opportunity for us to get out and help support our community while earning $500 in fundraising dollars!

We have a variety of shifts to choose from between December 2 and December 14, 2019. If you are interested in picking up a shift and helping out, please call/text Skylor Mitchell at 204-213-0304.

Opportunity #2: P.D. Day Camps

In October our group of volunteers started organizing P.D. Day Camps on days when Lac du Bonnet Centennial School is closed for Professional Development Days. We have run two great events for students between the ages of 5 and 12 but we are looking for more volunteers to help watch the students and participate in the day-of activities.

Our next session is on November 29, 2020, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm – Wacky Science Day where we will be conducting fun science experiments, creating crafts, and watching a movie.

We are also planning to host P.D. Day Camp sessions during the school’s holiday break, with day camps scheduled for December 23, 24, 26, 27, 30, 31, and January 2, and 3.

If you are interested in helping out for any of these dates, please call/text Skylor Mitchell at 204-213-0304.

Opportunity #3: Raffle Ticket Sales

We have about a month left to finish selling raffle tickets for our $3,000 cash prize raffle! We have a variety of selling opporunities and dates available to choose from betweeen now and December 14th! If you’ve got a great sales personality, we’d love some help from you to finish selling our raffle tickets! If we sell them all, this will be a major boost to our fundraising efforts, bringing in $7,000 so that we can continue bringing great new programs to Lac du Bonnet.

If you are interested in helping out with raffle sales, please call/text Skylor Mitchell at 204-213-0304.

Opportunity #4: Volunteer Workforce at Lac du Bonnet Ice Fishing Derby

We all know that the Lac du Bonnet Ice Fishing Derby is a great local event, but did you know that they pay their volunteers? We have secured 19 volunteer positions for the 2020 Derby happening on February 29th! If we fill these positions, we will earn $1,278.
