Join us for Movie Days! at St. John’s Heritage Church & Arts Centre.

Every week we’ll be bringing new great titles to the screen for the entire family to enjoy. This is part of a fundraising initiative to keep the doors of the former St. John’s Anglican Church open as a Community Space for all to enjoy.

Movies are $5.00 per show and the canteen will be open with tons of movie refreshments for you to choose from!

Treasure Planet- 2002 (Family)

The legendary “loot of a thousand worlds” inspires an intergalactic treasure hunt when 15-year-old Jim Hawkins stumbles upon a map to the greatest pirate trove in the universe in Walt Disney Pictures’ thrilling animated space adventure, “Treasure Planet.” Based on one of the greatest adventure stories ever told – Robert Louis Stevenson’s “Treasure Island” – this film follows Jim’s fantastic journey across a parallel universe as a cabin boy aboard a glittering space galleon.

Key lieutenant of South Side Chicago crime boss Johnny Lovo (Osgood Perkins), Tony Camonte (Paul Muni) is an ambitious and reckless gangster who ignores warnings not to mess with Irish gangs on the North Side. When the North Side retaliates, Tony essentially massacres them, leaving him on top of the world. Worried about Tony’s overconfidence, however, Johnny orders him killed, but this also backfires, and Tony finds himself even closer to becoming king of the city.

After getting a green card in exchange for assassinating a Cuban government official, Tony Montana (Al Pacino) stakes a claim on the drug trade in Miami.   • Doors will open half an hour before the listed start time.
  • Tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Seating capacity for Movie Days! is 50.
  • Tickets are $5.00 per person, per movie.
  • The Canteen will be available for refreshments. Please, no outside food or drink.
  • For extra comfort, please bring pillows or blankets to cushion the 113-year-old church pews.
  • Children 11 and under must be accompanied by an adult or older sibling.
